Safety Bears 4 Kids is a faith-based compassion mission dedicated to making a difference in the lives of abused and neglected children in Hillsborough County through the gift of a handmade teddy bear.

Our purpose is to bring hope and comfort to children in crisis. Every day, children face frightening and hurtful situations.

Florida’s statistics on child maltreatment, abuse, and neglect are alarming. In 2015, 14,825 abuse calls were investigated in Hillsborough County. Additionally, 1,435 children were removed from their homes. Of those, 818 were under the age of five, and 617 were under the age of one. — Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office
